Families Against Reckless Driving (FARD) is a 501 (c)(3) organization. FARD was incorporated on December 3, 2014 as a not-for-profit organization in New York state.

 

Our purpose is to

 

• increase public awareness of the problems that arise due to reckless driving (i.e. speeding/racing, tailgating, distracted driving, failure to yield right away, running red lights/stop signals, etc.)
   

• aid the victims of crimes performed by individuals under a mental state in which the driver displays a wanton disregard for the rules of the road, and
   

• aid the families of such victims
